Hello there. I am still having the same problem installing PI 8. I think I remember some stuff in that program I might be able to use. Yes it is amazing how much work Steve put into the real nice graphics in his tutorial on filling out the computer section of my profile. Can you cut me a break since I'm new to this forum? I filled in the form pretty quickly by using a program I have called Everest. You might like to take a look at it. http://www.lavalys.com/ It will give you a very complete description of your computer (100+ pages) or more if you want it to. I have found it indespensible when I need to find out info on a computer. Unfortunately it doesn't help me with my problem. This isn't a real pressing problem. I also
use Photoshop CS 2 and a beta of Photoshop CS 3. I can always use these
programs in a pinch.
Thanks and a Happy New Year _________________ It's better to be in a nice mess than a mice nest. |

To reduce your typing effort, after Start/Run/dxdiag, when the program opens, click on 'Save all information' and save dxdiag.txt to your Desktop.
Double-click on the icon created - to open it in Notepad - then you can Cut & Paste the necessary info' from that window to the Profile window on the Board without having to type loads of complicated 'stuff'. |
